
The 20-year-old, who is 1.72 meter tall, joins Paderborn from second division rivals Fortuna Dusseldorf with the hope of getting more playing time.
Ofori, who was among the biggest talents from the Right to Dream Academy in Ghana, signed a two-year contract.
Paderborn signed the creative offensive player with a lot of prospects before their third matchday of the second division season 2021/2022.
The Ghanaian will wear the number 14 jersey at the ambitious club.
This comes barely 24 hours after Ghanasoccernet.com exclusively reported his departure from Duesseldorf.
Ofori has signed a two-year contract with Paderborn and is confident of helping them achieve promotion to the Bundesliga this season.
“We explored the market intensively in order to sign an offensive player with strong dribbling skills,” said sporting director of Paderborn Fabian Wohlgemuth as he welcomed the player at the side.
“Kelvin has the advantage that he has already trained at the second division level and can be used flexibly on the offensive. He is another alternative in our squad. We want develop your potential in Paderborn.”
Earlier we had reported that an agreement had been reached between both clubs for the promising striker to switch to Paderborn.
Ofori is a product of the famous Right to Dream Academy and played a total of 27 games with Duesseldorf during his two years stay at the club.
He joined Duesseldorf in 2019.
Shortly after the signing of his compatriot Bernard Tekpetey, who had previously worn the Paderborn jersey, Ofori joined Fortuna Düsseldorf in the summer of 2019.
A few days after signing his contract, he scored his first competitive goal for Fortuna in the DFB Cup in a 3-1 win against FC 08 Villingen. Ofori played his first Bundesliga game in a 1-1 draw against 1. FSV Mainz 05 on March 8, 2020.
